SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. The Laboratory Processor (LP) will properly process and handle potentially infectious substances, including checking in samples and proper identification of samples.
  2. The LP will assist in maintaining stock of laboratory samples.
  3. The LP will remove laboratory waste and packaging for safe disposal.
  4. The LP will clean and disinfect the laboratory spaces and equipment.
  5. The LP will unpack laboratory supplies and remove supply boxes from the laboratory.
  6. The LP will provide proper documentation for the lab supervisor to review.
  7. The LP will follow all CLIA regulations for performing activities within the testing lab.

 

  • Must be 18 years old and have the ability and be willing to follow simple instructions.
  • "Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations"
  • Are expected to fill in at labs within 45-60 minutes of Springfield as needed and must drive their own vehicles.
