Minimum Acceptable Qualifications: 

CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER
 

Possession of credentials required by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for employment as a Child Care Worker in a licensed child care facility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
 

  1. physical examination as required by Illinois Child Care Act for employees in child care facilities
  2. personal attributes required by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for all child care personnel

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood preferred.  Sixty semester hours from an accredited college or University with 6 hours related to child care and or child development is required (18 hours is preferred).  Other credentials and personal attributes as required by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for employment as a Child Care teacher in a licensed child care facility.

Requires the ability to reach, stoop, lift children, kneel, bend and sit with children both in chairs and on the floor.
