The University of Illinois – Springfield anticipates possible part time coaching vacancies in the following areas:

Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach

Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach

Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

Assistant Women’s Softball Coach

Assistant W & M Tennis Coach

Assistant Men’s Baseball Coach

Head Spirit Squad Coach

UIS Dance Squad Coach

Cross Country/Track Coach

The successful candidate will help organize and administer all aspects of the sport program in accordance with the rules and regulations governing NCAA Division II, the Great Lakes Valley Conference and UIS.

Bachelor’s degree required.  Preferences will be given for previous coaching experience or having been a collegiate level competitor for the sport.  Review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until all open positions are filled. Copies of all transcripts are required before employment date. These positions are part time without benefits and report to the Director of Athletics.

UIS Athletics has recently moved into a new 16.2 million dollar Recreation and Athletic Center. UIS is located in Springfield, Illinois which is the capital city of the State of Illinois and has a population of approximately 120,000.  Springfield is located in central Illinois approximately 2 1/2 hours south of Chicago and 1 1/2 hours northeast of St. Louis, Missouri.
